Hello
Hi, my name is Heather and I'm new here.
Some background, I suppose?
I'm 20 years old, and will be 21 in June. I've been drinking heavily every night for three years. I had my first drink when I was 13, about the same time I developed depression and an eating disorder.
I've wanted to stop drinking for a very long time. However, all of my attempts have been equally unsuccessful. I'm sure a lot of you can relate.
Anyways, I'm glad to be here. I hope I can get some support as well as offer some support. I know I'm young, but I have some kinds of advice stuffed in this piece of lasanga between my ears that I call a brain. :p

Hi Heather. Glad you are here too. There is alot of support here and age does not matter. If you have something to add that is great. We need all the support we can get sometimes. So stick around and keep posting.

uummmm i love lasanga...hello there! glad you decided to join us. i have had a drinking problem and drug problem since i was 14. so your not alone here. im glad you have decided to quit your drinking at such a young age. i must tell you it doesnt matter how old you are we all share the same problem. im very impressed that you want to quit at such a young age. good for you! you will find tons of support here. once again welcome! jason

I'm glad you're seeking help and you have come to a great place for support. Stopping drinking is very hard, but you can do it!
If your depression is a result of the drinking, it may clear up when you get sober. If the depression began first, then maybe talking to your dr about medication might be something to think about.
