My as has taken on dependents...

lol. This may help him to become more responsible.
Two stray cats just showed up about 2 weeks ago. He fed'em
and they never left. We had a good laugh over that one.
He has named one Violence and the other one War. huh?
lol
Anyway, yesterday some kids were driving by and slowed down. They seemed to be putting something out of the car and then took off.
It was a doberman puppy. Well, at least as thinks it's a doberman.
Anyway, now he has 2 cats and a dog. He had his grandma drive him to the store for food for them. He named the pup Manson. yep! That's my boy.
Big Freakozoid. lol
It's so sad how people just "drop" animals out on the side of the road and drive off. As said, if he had had a gun he would have shot the tires off their car. He really sounded angry.
So now he has responsibilities. 3 to be exact. I can't wait to go visit my grandpets. lol
He seems so excited about raising these animals. This is a whole new side to him. I only pray he's not raising them to be evil. lol Just kidding.
We've always had a dog or a cat at home. He just never seemed interested.
I guess because they were my babies. These are "his" babies.
I'm happy for him.
Oh, and one other small thing I'm happy about...
HE'S BEEN COMPLETELY SOBER FOR 2 DAYS NOW.
Guess you can tell I'm pretty friggin' excited about it.
So there's my update. It doesn't involve recovery/rehab, but it does show my son's caring and sensitive side. I love that about him.
(except for those names...Lord have mercy)
Have a great tomorrow everyone.
I love you all,

2 days is a good sight better than one day or no days!! I'm so happy he has made it this far!
I think it's a good sign that he wants to nurture these critters! Even with names like those...you can't help but be happy to know he is being a caring person to take them in.
Congrats on the grand-pets!

Linda, I'm glad you can enjoy every precious moment and conversation you can with your son. Your love for him just fills your posts.
I love the names. I am "fishsitting" for my daughter while she is "away" lol. She has 19 tropical fish and so far no floaters...No extra babies yet that I can see either...this one type just seems to breed like rabbits.
Anyway, she has some interesting names for my grandfish. The sucker fish's name is not one I can post here, but it has kinda grown on me. Those fish are so ugly they are cute

Hugs and prayers

(((((Linda))))))

Your son sounds like such a caring, loving person. Your post warmed my heart this morning. I hope violence, war and manson all get along okay. I'd hate to see what might happen if they don't with names like that!!! LOL.

I hope the little critters bring your son alot of happiness and joy. Animals have a way of doing that, ya know?
And I hope they bring 'grandma' a little bit of joy too.

Love ya Linda!!
Enjoy the critters!!

thanks for the update, sounds pretty positive and recovery like to me, at least he has something to help keep his mind occupied, taking care of pets is a big job and its a lot better than nursing his habits. i pray that he continues to stay clean, one day at a time. who knows, this may be the start of something new for the both of you. still praying for ya
