12 days without a joint
have just come home from vacation where there was no mariuana. this was the begining of not smoking pot. living in holland does not help, my local coffee shop is only around the corner. while on holidays I thought about smoking alot and now i'm home it is constantly on my mind. tomorrow i have an appointment at an addiction clinic. i want this feeling to go away. i want the feeling of 'rest' that marijuana gave me. how long will it take before i lose the urge?
Hi Timetostop,
Welcome!
Others will be along who can give you more specific information, but I imagine the physical cravings will gradually lessen as time goes by. Seeing an addiction counsellor is a good idea. Keep posting!

hello
well t2s i use to use cannabis every day morning and night i managed to stop 12 years ago i know dope is stronger now but thought you might want to their is hope not dope i am a alcoholic which is also a nightmare addiction that i am trying to deal with anyway thats a different story good luck mate
i was a big drinker, and perhaps even a bigger dope smoker, multiple times a day, for decades.
my last drink was May 2001, kept toking for another 14 months, sober since July 2002.
if I can be of any assistance, please let me know.
i've walked in those shoes. today, my life is 100 times better.
there IS a solution. glad you are here, takes courage!

Hi Timetostop. This is a great board. I stopped smoking weed when I started my DOC. I never really got urges tho. But there are plenty people here that I know can relate. Glad you are here.
