I'm Going Back to School Thanks to You Guys
Well after last night (and all your advices), I decided to pick myself up, dust myself off and end my little pity party - I went on line and found out what I need to do to be an alcohol and substance abuse counselor, found a school near me that offers the classes at night and am going to start taking classes. From there, I will figure out how to go about counseling familes of alcoholics. But it's a start. Since it's at night, it will keep me away from AH (yay!), I will be doing something for myself and in the end, helping others. Thanks everyone for your replies that really helped me get my butt in gear and move on to the next chapter in my life. You're all great!!!!

Hooray for you! I'm taking classes/applying to a masters now, and it's been a great way to keep myself focused and productive, and change the focus of my thoughts from my abf to ME. Plus, its just nice to get my brain working

Wonderful!! I started back to school last month working on my Early Childhood Education degree in an 18-month one night a week program. It's not easy, but it has been great to have something else to focus on.
