Consequences
Hi - read your profile "I have every reason not to be drunk" - Sorry you messed up glad you are OK - so deal with it and write down the reasons not to be drunk and wipe yourself off pick yourself up and start all over again. I'm hoping my AD your age does the same thing but as someone said here "Prepare for the worst - Hope for the better" So as a boy scout say "Be Prepared" and GOOD LUCK
maybe this will be the turning point in your life. some times it takes a dui to wake up. for me it took 3. i know how your feeling right now. its not going to be easy i know that for sure. but look you didnt hurt anyone. that is the big picture here. you got caught but you didnt kill yourself or anyone else. this happens everyday. people get drunk and kill a familly coming home from a nice dinner. then they find out there in prison for life. so you see its not that bad. i know i coulda been one of those guys and i thank god i never had to deal with that ever. if you have a nice family they will understand. we have an addiction. hope all works out for you. ive been there.. and it sucks dont beat yourself up. take care...jason

The car was just delivered from impoundment. My wife has not tossed me out on my ear even though the impoundment fee plus towing came to 500 bucks.
Thank you all so much for your support. I do see it as the big wake-up call, and I must not blow it again. The coming months will be difficult but life-changing, I pray.
