Expect your miracle
How many times do we CodieAnons expect disaster? How many times do we accept it when it strikes, because it is so damned familiar?
There is a scene in "The Divine Secrets of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood" that goes like this:
Connor: I don't know, it's like she's always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Vivvie: That's because it always did.
Sound familiar? It did to me. I've spent a lot of my life waiting for the other shoe to drop because it always did. Why not expect a miracle? Why not wake up each morning and think of it as a brand new chapter in your life? If it's true that you get what you expect...why not expect a miracle instead of that damned old shoe dropping again?
Tomorrow when you start your day, hold out your hands and let God know that you are ready for your bliss, your joy, your light, your miracle. Hold those hands out wide kids, don't reach out timidly. I say to hell with the other shoe. Let it drop somewhere else.
Wishing you all a better tomorrow, and many more after that.
Peace,
Gabe
