Frightening symptoms lasting several days now!
Frightening symptoms lasting several days now!
I don't even know where to begin here. Ok...
My face/head/neck feels tight (like a mask), weird allergy-type prickly/tickling/tingly sensations on my face/head/scalp, spaced-out/catatonic feeling (like I'm in a daze/stupor/hypnotized or something), eyes feel very buggy/unfocused/blurry, allergy-type feeling as if my head was stuck in a bubble full of fiberglass dust for a few minutes. Also this effects my lungs/breathing and after eating dinner just now my heart is beating fast and I am SCARED.
About me...
I'm male/43. No fever. I have suffered for most of my life from anxiety, panic, hypochondria, OCD, IBS, various allergies, etc. I have taken a low dose of various benzos over the years (I just got off Klonopin and went back on Ativan recently). I just stopped drinking a few weeks ago (I'm an alcoholic who drank a case of beer almost every day for a year and a half). I recently came down with a prostate infection and just started 500mg Cipro 2x daily today. That's about all I can tell you folks.
This just started late yesterday afternoon and I thought it might be anxiety so I took an Ativan but it didn't help at all - just made me VERY sleepy and this morning I felt a little better but as the evening has approached, this "feeling" is beginning to creep up on me again stronger than ever so it seems to get worse as the day progresses for some reason.
Any ideas? Anyone else feel like this?.
Thanks for any support and input I can get for this (very much appreciated!).
- Regards, NFIS

Hi NFIS,
Agreed, you should definitely call your dr.
It could be a reaction to one of the meds you're taking or something else entirely. Don't worry needlessly, just call and get the info you need.

We are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. Plus we are not there with you. Get up, get to an ER, be honest with them about what you're doing, what you've taken and what's going on. Let professionals with knowledge and experience help you and you help them by telling them everything.
Please don't sit around in misery and possibly endanger yourself. Hopefully it is something minor or something anxiety driven but you just never know.
Get yourself checked out and then post on here and let us know you're ok.
Hugs,
Kellye
