Thumbs up Topic: This Is Unbelievable. Miracles Do Happen. Another Door Just Opened.

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent had a
drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.

For that and you I am truely
Grateful.

You will never guess what has
happened?

YOU WILL NEVER GUESS..! : )

Just moments ago the hospital
that I have been applying for
called me to set up an appoint-
ment for Friday. 10 AM Sharp.

UNBELIEVABLE.

Is there and Higher Power
working in my life.....

YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT. : )

But for the Grace of my HP.

If i could go run tonight I think i
could run for miles and miles.....
I am soooooo pumped....sooooo
excited.....sooooo grateful.

One door closed today and another
door just opened that quickly.

Im speechless.....

And I dont want to forget about
you guys here in SR. You guys
have been my rock....my support
thru everything Ive been going
thru....

So for urselves....please dont
give up....

Anything is possible.

Right?

Wow Sharon!

Your faith, through all of this, has been unshakeable and you are really an inspiration.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers on Friday.

Congrats Sharon, that's great news! I'm still amazed that God rarely gives me what I want, but he never fails to give me exactly what I need. Gotta love sobriety!

Thanks Astro for ur kind words....and true for
how my needs and wants are supplied to me
in my own recovery.

I dont get what I need by just sitting on my tush.
There's continueing work that is necessary to
grow in recovery. And that growth is a life long
achievement.

Isn't that what the Promises tell us, that they will always materialize if me work for them? I hope you're proud of your achievements. I certainly am!

Yes I am Astro....I remember in early recovery reading
the promises and thinking Id sure like to have them
right then and now....however for some of us they
are coming true, slowly but surely....even yrs down the
road.

What an AWESOME PROGRAM we follow. : )

Hi, joined here today, was looking for something online, some support and understanding, somewhere to turn. I must stop and I will not be going to meeting, I have a plan a strategy, my own, I guess you can call it stay aware, thatīs what I want to do, stay aware of how ****** up it all is. To remind myself. But I am afraid, afraid of how I will try to trick myself when I feel good again, that now I am ok, and now I can handle it.....

Thanks Ayla... so much appreciated.... : )
Glad ur here for me. Your support, kindness
and friendship.

Welcome Andrech to SR. This is an awesome place to be
for good support of others in recovery. Lots to read
and reply to.

Just jump in anytime and share what u r going thru.
You will be surprised at how many think and act the
way we all do....

There are different stages of recovery in here all the way
from a minute sober to yrs sober or clean. We all have
something to share and to help the next person.

If u dont understand something, ask and u will recieve
feedback....take what u want and leave the rest as i often
hear.

For me, i knew i couldnt stay sober on my own
no matter how hard i tried....and i tried...
It took me to admit i had a drinking problem
and that i was powerless over alcohol....thats
the very first step....Today there is no doubt
in my mind that i can ever drink sucessfully in
my life....yrs down the road sober, i still believe
that there will be never enough alcohol in this
world to satisfy my cravings for it.

Alcohol will always be poison to me and to drink
for me is to die....

I think im here on Earth for a special reason just
like many others in recovery.

To help others by sharing my own ESH with the next
person in recovery.

Thyanks for being here and letting me share.
