Please welcome Friends and Family of Addicts
Hey gang,
Due to technical issues beyond our control the website was down overnite. It's still not completely fixed. The Friends and Family of Addicts forum has not yet been brought online. Temporarily, we are going to offer those fine folks our cozy, warm Friends and Family of Alcoholics as a refuge.
Things may get a little crowded here for a bit, think of it as a party
Please welcome our brothers and sisters in recovery.
Mike

Thank you,
I was beginning to panic without my friends and SR family to talk to. We all appreciate your hospitality.
I'm currently baking a chicken n rice casserole for next door neighbor, whose son was murdered and the funeral is going on right now. The murder was gang-related, not drug related, I think.
I wanted to ask what the protocols are for bringing food over. Just wait till I see all the cars there? I don't want to intrude on the family, just provide some food for their guests.
This neighbor has been there for us throughout our ordeal with AS and it's time for me to give back.
Appreciate any advice.
Thx, Barb

Barb I would wait and watch for the owners of the house and walk it over. Just wait til you see a few cars and run over and give it to them. I dont think you would be intruding over condolences and offer it to them, I'm sure they will be very thankful for your kindness. Thats what neighbors do.
Thanks for the hospitality! I kept thinking it was me...my eyes, my brain, my blondness...that I could not see FFofSA. I'm glad i peaked in here for the warm welcome!
Barb, That's very sweet of you. If you feel uncomfortable, it is fine to wait, but from my experience, I particularly remember the neighbors that wrapped me in their caring concern the moment the police left. After that, so much was a blur. I didn't eat for a long time, but by day 2, I had people in my home who wanted food and i was so grateful for all the wonderful people who brought things.
You are very very sweet.
