Not sure where to post this....

...just found out today my Dad has a tumour in his bowel, whether it's malignant or beingn he will still need a colostomy because they need to cut it out, part of his rectum too. He's 76 and I'm scared. Can't think of life without my Dad. He's my soul mate. Not sure what else to say. Worried for my Mum too, she's seems to be strong but I know she isn't. Please think of us.

Oh, velvet--that's got to be awfully hard for you all--I'd be afraid, too. I'm so sorry. I'll be sending up some prayers for you all.

Take care,
Jane

Velvet, it's so hard to get through something like that. Lots of hugs to you and your family.

Well after nearly 6 weeks of too-ing and fro-ing, it's finally been confirmed that the tumour is cancer. He goes in for his op on Tuesday and the surgeon has explained everything. He will have a "bag" but only temporary, they will reverse it in 4 months time. They said they caught the cancer early and that it's contained and not spread - so that's good news!

It still a huge operation for a 76 year old though and as you can imagine we're very worried.

Anyway - just thought I'd update you all.

Love V xx
