50 day reflection.

Well its midnight in the UK and today and im up to 50 days sober,so I thought I would share my reflections. The first couple of weeks were as bad as i'd remembered from other attempts at recovery, just this time I found some inner resolve to hang in there.Wether i'd reached my bottom only time will tell.Having got through the bodies cravings and the mind games my addiction played on me I started to feel better physicaly and mentaly. Then came the what if stage, what if I slip, what if I loose faith, what if I just had one, what if,what if ?
I started trawling the net, found some great sites on addictive behaviour which helped me answer the medical questions I sought. Then I came accross SR and bingo! the whole package, all the knowledge i'd gained about recovery, from attending AA and the various rehab groups. With the added bonus of being able to meet and share 24/7.I think i've come accross people here from all stages of recovery, from total serenity to total bewilderment at there cicumstances.
So to all I say thankyou for filling the hole that alcohol left, where ever you are along your road.

To thine own self be true.

chris

I'm so glad you're doing well Chris!

And, I agree with you completely about SR. It's an amazing place and I never fail to find inspiration when I come here.
