Supplements, vitamins, nutrition

Could someone please give me info or a link on supplements, vitamins, and nutrition which might help get over cravings for alcohol? I'm on day two, and I need all the help I can get. Planning on going to my 1st AA meeting either tonight or tomorrow night. Thanks.

Hi....Glad you are going to a meetinhg
Congratulations on your sober days!

Diet In Early Recovery?

Many alcoholics follow an eating plan for
hypoglycemia
I did for 6 months with good results.

Add a daily multi vitamin and a B Comp;ex
to get your body healthier.

I did not use anything for cravings.
I did time them and they were 5/7
minutes in duration.

I can deal with anything for
that short a time!

Take action ...walk...brush your teeth..
drink cold water..eat a Lifesaver.

They longer I stayed sober the less they
happened and the less intense.

Ask your ddoctor about medications for
cravings...some people find them effective.

Take care...

All I take is a B complex, and try to eat healthy, I am sure there are as already mentioned other vitamins and supplements to help heal the damages done quicker. I took an anti-craving med for a grand total of a week, it din't seem to make a bit of difference to me when I quit them, but I have heard folks say that it got them over the hump.

HealthRecovery.com rocks. I used the supplement program to detox and it's great. I quit around three months or so and feel bad again so I have to get back on the supplements. I used the book form, 7 Weeks to Sobriety, and it is much more comprehensive. I bought the stuff at local stores cheap and it all worked fine.

If you are local, the Alvin meetings are great!
