Backslider Here!
Posting for the first time today. I'm very needy right now. I need someone to tell me everyday not to take anything illegal. I need someone to tell me I'm not alone. I need someone to tell me I can do it one day at a time. Help!

I'm right here with you. Today is my 2nd day being sober and your message helps me to know that I'm not alone. I'll be thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way. I hope you can get some strength from that.

You are absolutely not alone!
I'm on day three of sobriety and have found this place incredibly helpful in giving me some focus on what I'm going through, how to go through it, and what to expect.
If you can't take it a day at time, try an hour at a time: "I made it ONE hour...what would happen if I tried for TWO hours?"

Welcome, and great job on reaching out! That step is so very hard. Welcome to this beautiful and wonderful community/family! Great thing about recovery, it does not matter where I am or what I am doing, there is always some meeting or place I can walk into and be welcomed, there is always family near me.
