alcoholic "wheel" diagram?
hello...im hoping someone here can help me. years ago a freind of mine gave me a whell diagram that showed the porgression of the disease of alcoholism for the alcoholic.......and then another wheel that showed the progression of the disease for the spouse. i googled, searched here, and cannot find that diagram! im almost sure that she obtained it for her AA group or something similar, years ago. im just surprised i cannot locate it anywhere on the internet. i wanted to see it so i could review where im at on my wheel (im the codependent spouse) so i can look this thing in the eye and get more help than what im already doing now. i would be so encouraged if someone out there in SoberRecovery world has the pictures of these wheels. thanks!

I don't know about the "wheel"; I do know about the Jellinek Chart that shows the progression in the alcoholic (http://www.drugfreeinfo.org/PDFs/jellinek2.pdf) The wheel sounds interesting, hope someone here knows about it and post it. Thanks.

Pick-a-name,
Just looked at the link. It's so sad to see how far down on the list my A is The only good thing is I can see some of the recovery traits starting. (He admits he's an alcoholic and is limiting the number of binges, but still refuses to enter a program. Although he admits he needs detox and rehab).
So sad to see the progression. I hope he can find peace and I know I'm working to find mine.

I think Robin Norwood has the codependent counterpart of the alcoholic progression curve (not a wheel) that Pick-A-Name provided a link to--in her book Women Who Love Too Much.
I can't find it on the internet, but the book would have it.
