My husband is named Christopher
This is a post that doesn't necessarily require responses, but I felt I should post it anyway.
After reading and re-reading, responding, asking questions, making comments, etc. on this forum I have come to the conclusion that I will no longer refer to my husband who is an alcoholic as AH. He is a wonderful man and has a name. His name is Christopher. This is what I will call him from now on.

You are so very right. Ed is a wonderful person. His good qualities are just covered up with this horrible illness. I know he doesn't want to live like this, I just wish he didn't. if that makes sense. i know he doesnt want it to be this way, i know he cant control it. i just wish he loved his self as much as we love him.

I'm new here, but I agree. I think that there's a practical side too. It's hard for me to keep straight who's story goes with who, trying to get to know everyone. Knowing the husband's name helps with my memory. More personal.
I introduced myself a few weeks ago, and my husband, Bill. I guess I didn't even think to not use his name, as there seems to be enough anonymity just being online. Know what I mean?
