My xmas present to myself

Hi all, I'm starting over again. I'm hung over and have to get and stay sober before I kill myself on this ****.

Has anyone out there lived in a sober living home? I need to try something else, what I have been doing is not working.

Good morning dgillz...

Many of us here live in homes void of alcohol. We have to, most of us cannot affort to be near the stuff...

If you keep doing what your doing...Your gonna keep getting what your getting...Hungover and sick. Try something new. Find other ways to have fun. When I first quit drinking, I though that my fun times were over. How wrong I was. Its a whole new world out there. Being sober with a clear mind brings all the good things to light...

Its not easy, nobody says it is, but if you just try it, good things will happen to you...

Best of luck...

One day at a time.

Steve

Now would be a great time to find your bottom, just stop digging..

For me, it was all about asking God for help. Once I did that, things began to change. Otherwise I am just fooling myself and alcoholism will eventually find me and kill me.

Good luck and God bless you on your journey..

No, I have not. I do know many AA members in
D.C. who were helped by living in an Oxford House.

I had a lot of false starts i when I was working
towards recovery.

I suggest you read the ssticky in our Alcoholism
Forum posted by GreenTea.

Here is the link..

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...influence.html

That is the book that convinced me to quit.
God and AA keep me in recovery.

You too can find joy and sobriety!

I've never lived in one but know lots of people who have. It is a good start and then you carry it out the door with you by making meetings, not drinking, making sober friends and learning how to live alcohol free.

Welcome to SR and congratulations on your choice to better your life. You won't regret it!

Hugs,
Kellye

dgillz...

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I never have either, but I'm sure there are many here that have. They will answer your question soon, I'm sure...

Hang tough...
