Just checking in!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
I wanted to express my gratitude for what sobriety has given me. I have been going through some dark moments lately as a result of wreckage of my past but there is still breath in my body and that means that for some reason, I was given another chance at life.
Using and drinking was a life of pure misery for me. I am working to regain what was lost and I'm sure that I will be given many more gifts in recovery.
I am grateful for God, my life, my friends, my recovery program and for being given a second chance.
I had a great Thanksgiving. I am alive, clean, and sober!

We do grow in the trials. We become stronger and there are always lessons to be learned and new doors to be opened through each opportunity that we face in life.
Vic, congrats on 6 months!

I am grateful for
True Friends
healthy, loving children
sobriety and recovery while they are still young
The Tough Lessons (which are a B**** while going through them)
Being able to see the light (even if after what I think is a "lo-o-ong time") and the beauty of said lessons.
