He's such a user!!!!

I had his cell phone turned off last Thursday, as it was on my plan and I was paying for it. I didn't do it out of anger just self preservation. So anyway, we hadn't heard anything from him, this morning he called me. Trying to make small talk, trying to flirt ( Oh my god!!!) When he finally got around to asking if his parole officer had been around looking for him.
I knew that was the only reason for the call. He's worried about what I will say.
At first I got mad and said I guess that depends on what kind of mood I'm in when he comes. .
Then I got control of my emotions and said very calmly if you are concerned about your PO then I would suggest you be proactive and contact him. It's your problem you deal with it, don't put it on me. Then you won't have to worry about what I will say.
Also complaining about being depressed and heartbroken, I suggested counseling and rehab.
Can't we have one more chance?......No. "But I've changed."
Then I thought of that new song by Evanescence and quoted it. Don't lie to me, just get your things, I've made up my mind.

Just thinking about mine's "user" techniques! It's so natural to them. What is the name of that song? Sounds so good, would like to hear it.

Evanescence
Call Me When You're Sober

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Should I let you fall?
Lose it all?
So maybe you can remember yourself.
Can't keep believing,
We're only deceiving ourselves .
And I'm sick of the lie,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

Couldn't take the blame.
Sick with shame.
Must be exhausting to lose your own game.
Selfishly hated,
No wonder you're jaded.
You can't play the victim this time,
And you're too late.

Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.

You never call me when you're sober.
You only want it cause it's over,
It's over.

How could I have burned paradise?
How could I - you were never mine.

So don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
Don't lie to me,
Just get your things.
I've made up your mind.

Life is not a song. So what, if the words ring out so clearly
that you can relate it to your own life. I think listening to songs
like the one you have referenced here are really keeping you in
the drama. Love has nothing to do with it as you will learn in Alanon.
The line in the song:
Don't cry to me.
If you loved me,
You would be here with me.
You want me,
Come find me.
Make up your mind.
This type of thinking isn't part of the Alcoholic.
The only thing they are looking for is another drink,
from where ever, whom ever my provide it.
Love has nothing to do with this.
That's why I prefer music with no lyrics these days.

Actually, for me music has always been a huge part of my life. I take what I need from it, like the last line. I find songs like this to be inspiring. They don't make me sad or get me caught up. Music gives me strength. Besides it's just a song.
