Hello to everyone. I just joined here today and this is my first post. Hope i am doing this right??? Well im 32 single, separated for 2 years and have an 8 year old son. I have been a cocaine user recreationaly for a few years now, but once i started to smoke it (crack) for about 1 year now. i have become a mess, i feel lost, confused, overwhelmed and think what have i become and what am i becoming??? Losing family, friends and my sanity. Not to mention my financial mess. I have tried to stop on my own several times with no luck. So maybe if i turn to others and learn something about it i might make it. Just talking about it makes me want it! Well i hope to meet others and give this an honest shot to quit.

Hi Lostsoul,

Have you thought about inpatient treatment? I got hooked on crack in the late 80's and couldn't kick it until I was hospitalized for treatment. That stuff is nasty!

NA might help. I use AA myself and it is working for me.

Welcome! It is really good to have you here.

Jup.

Welcome! Having people who understand and can relate to what you're going through is very important! You are not alone.

Keep reaching out. You can do this... it won't be easy but it is so worth it.

as Rob Schneider said in "Waterboy".... You can do it!!!
Like was said, rehab might be a good way to go. DT's are bad and you can use the help, don't be afraid to ask. If your insurance won't cover it, there are county programs to help you, believe me I know.
