Exclamation Hello I am Adam and please help me!

Hi I am Adam and I am Polish catholic. I have started smoking marijuana since the age of 16. I have succesfully stopped for a period of three months and then one of 9 months. Since then I have just smoked and smoked marijuana. Now it's even worse because I started smoking cigarettes. I do not know what to do! Sometimes I think that it's pointless to stop because my memory might not recover. Now I have a much harder time to remember things than before. I have been to rehab two times with no effect. I really do not know what to do so please help me to stop. I have to soon anyways because I am going back to college and weed has ruined me two times already. Please all pray for me to stop marijuana and cigarettes. I thank you for any help.

You will regain your memory back. It just takes a while.

Hi Adam I was brought up Catholic too...for the moment forget that , concentrate on feeling good.
You know some people are allergic to ganja an,d others seem ok, who knows long term.
It makes my eldest son psychotic and that is scarey. It can also be a mind addiction. Whatever it does make yuou feel bad so it's no good for you. please try the SUBSTANCE ABUSE FORUM huh,

lots to gain nothing to lose

Hi Adam,

I smoked weed for years when I was younger. Smoked a ton of the stuff. I then drank for years and got really bad. It took about a year, but my memory came back and along with it my career, family, and so many other great things.

Your mind will recover if you give it a chance off of that stuff. If it happened for me, it can certainly happen for you.

I stay sober with the help of this site and AA. NA has worked for many as well. Consider going to a meeting.

Jup.

hey adam i smoked weed every single day from age 15-25. from age 16-18 i mixed heavy acid and ecstacy into the fold. from 19-25 i became an everyday heroin user...but everyday weed smoking was consistent throughout.

ive been sober 9+ months now and my memory is a thousand times better. i havent been this clear headed since i was 14.

you will get better. believe me. all you have to do quit. try Marijuana Anonymous (they have it here in chicago).

Adam,

The good thing is that you have recognized the problem early in life. The next step is to act upon your recognition and take steps towards abstaining from pot. Your memory will return. I have not drank in almost two months, and I feel sharper already. I think it's a result of a healthier lifestyle (I am eating better and exercising too). Give it a shot. You might be surprised.

the sad thing is that many people think that weed is not addictive...but i know differently...i smoked for about 10 years...and my mother smoked for 30...she recently died of lung cancer...she was only 58 years old...i will pray that you find the strength to quit before it is too late....
