Good Evening Guys and Gals

Hi, I just want to say hi and introduce myself. I live in Dallas, Tx where Im a bartender in the downtown area. I'm 34 years old and single. Well this is pretty all I have to say up this point.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still not sure what I"m looking for or what I've actually found. All I know is that I have 15 years of stories to tell while under the influence of either alcohol - weed- or pills. THat is being G rated...

Welcome from another Texan! You don't have to call yourself anything to get benefit of this site. Please make yourself comfortable, check out the various boards paying special attention to the stickies at the top of each boards lists of topics. Ask questions and when you feel more comfortable let us get to know you. We are a friendly bunch here!

What you've found (imo) is the greatest forum for support for those struggling with drinking, drugging, or dealing with friends/relatives with drink/drug problems. Throw in support with overeating, some mental therapy (Mental Health Forum) and some casual chat (in the Cafe)and voila, you've got SR.

Glad to have you here and hope you have a look around a find a place to get comfy.

I've worked in bars for many, many years. I'm now a sober alcoholic in recovery.

Welcome to SR!

I was one of the first 6 women admitted to the
Bartenders Union in the city where I lived.
Before that women were called BarMaids and made
less salary!! Boo Hiss

Anyway..I too am a sober alcoholic

welcome nem....I too am a fan of the drugs you listed..but am glad to say after 20 yrs of using I have 5 months clean...we are here to help and just listen...
