Hello I'm Chris

Hi..
I'm Chris.. 44 recovery addict.

I have like 13+ years clean from heavy drugs...
used since I was 12...

single parent to a 13 year old..
three older kids..

that's about it for now..

umm..
looking for a place to meet people, share experiences, learn new things from and to stay busy so I don't relapse.

Wow. Congrats on your clean and sober time. That's awesome. How'd you do it?

Thanks for sharing a bit about you. I think you'll find SR to be a great community of people who share our experience, strength and hope with each other and support each other through life's ups and downs.

I'm going through a bit right now...
I start treatment for HepC tomorrow, go in for counsultation today.

I smoke cigs like crazy...
I was smoking pot for a bit.. prescribed and all.. but that became too crutch like, so I've quit that...

now the cigs...
I thought I saw a forum for quitting cigarettes.

How I've stayed away from heavy drugs...
I don't associate with my old user 'friends'.
I ask a ton of questions.
I stay busy to keep my mind off things that make me want to use.

For me addiction is a never ending battle...
I've found that not only is the drug addictive, but so are behaviors.

For me anyway.

here in SR i havent had a drink of alcohol
since 8-11-90. For that Im truely grateful.
