Question Topic: What Is The Heart Of True Sobriety?

Hi, Im Sharon and im an Alcoholic.

By the grace of my HP and people
like u here in SR, i havent had a
drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and u im truely grateful.

WHAT IS THE HEART OF TRUE SOBRIETY?

We find that no one need have difficulty
with spirituality of the program. Willingness,
honesty and open mindedness are the
essentials of recovery. But these are
indespensable. A.A. pg 570

Am I honest enough to accept myself
as I am and let this be the "me" that I
let others see? Do I have the willingness
to go to any length, to do whatever
is necessary to stay clean and sober?
Do I have the openmindedness to hear
what I have to hear, to think what I
have to think, and to feel what I have
to feel?

If your answer to the questions are
"yes" u know enough about the spiritual-
ality of the program to stay clean an sober.
As U continue to work the Twelve Steps,
u move on to the heart of true sobriety:
serenity with urself, with others, and with
ur HP as u understand Him.

Thanks for letting me share.
