I made it to an AA meeting today. It was a good meeting. The topic was honesty which is very timely for me as I've been thinking about that a lot lately. I know lying is part of the disease but it's hard to admit to how much I've lied and manipulated behind my using. I'm sometimes filled with guilt and remorse about how I've treated people. I also got some phone numbers. I really want to get clean. As I was sitting in the meeting my next door neighbor walked in. I thought that was really cool. I'm so glad this board is here. I hope it will help me get through until I can get to another meeting.

Try to avoid going into your past. If you just stick with the program and stick with us all of that wreckage of your past will be dealt with when you've got the mental and emotional clarity to go there. Don't look back right now.. just keep yourself in the present and know with every sober day you'll get where you want to go.

Awesome! Yea.. keep going even when you don't want to go... That's what I did. And my life is lightyears away from what it used to be like... one day at a time, plan your day around one. Hang in there
