Cravings.

I think it is a huge sign for me. I don't remember craving so much alcohol after a night of drinking. This time however I am really craving. I know I won't cave. I am more worried about long term and going into denial again however how did you work through your cravings. I am trying to be patient with my little guys however it is not easy because I feel so on edge.

Well, I have not started meetings. I can go some time without drinking. I am more scared of long term.

yes recovery seems real scary at first.
but gradualy we learn that what use to seam huge is small after a while.
this board is good but it doesnt even touch the groove of the meetings.
stick around
we need you

take one day at a time. you are doing great.

don't worry about long-term just yet.

one thing that helped me was drinking minutemaid diet limeade or lemonade. i was craving something other than soda and water and just having something else to drink made a big difference.

keep on coming back. read all you can about alcohol and try to make a meeting (aa or otherwise) it really does help!

welcome!

Exclamation

Cravings....

In early recovery . I timed my cravings.
Mine were 5/7 minutes in duration.
I can overcome most things for that short time!

I took action during that space.
Brushing my teeth...eating a Lifesaver...drinking water
(notice the oral connection?)

The longer I stayed sober they lessened in both frequency and intensity.

Keep going forward...

And Yes! I attend AA!!
