Hi...
I'm Peter from chicago...not a net geek or even a computer skilled guy. The thing said post an intro in newcomers forum...so here I am. In Chicago...got sober in 89....grew up in an addicted home...if it ends in "-ism," I probably have it. So I'm here, looking forward to making connections and meeting people.

Hi Peter, welcome to SR!
you will meet lots of people here to talk to, offer you support, or just to vent to if you're having a bad day.
congratulations on your sober time - that's great. I only have 2 weeks and I love hearing from people with so much time under their belts. Reminds me it can be done.

Welcome Peter! I spent some time in the "Windy City" in 1980... Stationed up at Great Lakes Naval Base. Chicago's a great place, and you've definitely come to the right place!

Welcome, I'm a newbie here and this place is the best! I think if it weren't for these guys and the other newbies all hanging together I never would have made it this far. I have four days and I am trying to read everything. Still working on the Newcomers forum!

I think what you said about anything ending in an "ism" is me too although alcohol is my drug of choice and I am an alcoholic also take benzos but from an anxiety disorder I have, anyway Welcome, glad to have you here. Lots of great people here and support.
