hello-i'm new
i have just joined - have been sober for some time and attend AA - on some days the "apparent" success of those in my community who did not get sidetracked by booze discourages me - that happened today after a beautiful morning, good noon meeting and all, when I went to my mail box and found a promotional letter from someone who has snubbed me in the community since my alc abuse became known and I entered recovery 12 years ago - it just hit me like a punch in the stomache - hope to get talking to you all and feeling better - kitten58

Hi kitten58 and welcome to SR. My name is Sharon and im an alcoholic. By the grace of my HP and people like you in these rooms I havent had a drink of alcohol since 8-11-90 and for that im truely grateful.
There's lots of newcomers here, in between sobriety and long time sobriety ...all working together sharing their own ESH with each other to stay clean and sober one day at a time.
Take ur shoes off, sit a spell, get comfy, and begin a wonderful journey here with lots of warm caring folks scattered all over the map. It's pretty cool in here.
When u have time, share a little bit about urself so others can get to know who u r.
