Well,I went to my first al-anon meeting in 3 years. It was great. Normally, I'm the type of person who kind of bleds in with the crowd, don't speak in public, I was just always shy. But Sat, at the meeting I broke out of my shell. I helped the leader of the meeting set out the books, and hang up the steps. Then I read the preamble, and then when it was time to share, and everyone else was quiet, I told alittle of my story, and how I was feeling, and coping. When I left I had a temp. sponsor, and alot of confidence in myself. I felt unbelievable. After the meeting I picked my husband up from his meeting. We worked out, and had a great day. I am so grateful to those wonderful women at the meeting, and to god for giving me the courage to stand out, and not be afraid. It just goes to show there is hope for all of us.
