Reminder of what I am NOT missing
Reminder of what I am NOT missing
I went to see my boyfriend play softball tonight, and there was a woman there who was blatantly having quite a good time. I was initially insanely jealous, because I used to love having drinks while watching a game. She continued to get louder and louder as the night went on. By the end of the night, she was talking about what a ****up she is, slurring her words, being incredibly loud and she ended up alone in her car at the end of the night, singing along to her Sting CD. I felt awful for her, and it was a wonderful reality check. That would have definitelly been me. Start off "having a few" and end up beligerent, no matter what happens. I am so glad and thankful that I am still sober, and can live my life on MY terms, not on the ALCOHOL's terms...Thanks for listening.
I wrote about that in a post on my thread "My addiction, the good and the bad Part II"
Amazing how powerful it is when you see the active addict up close and personal isn't it.
Congrats on staying sober. That's awesome.
Peace, Levi
