Hi everyone its been a while since i have posted ans i had a bit of a scare today. My room-mate asked me to go with him to the stripper bar and i thought why not it had been a long time since i had been in that place.Anyway i was there for a while and a couple of ladies i know from way back came in and seen me and we talked for a while and they wanted me to drink with them,so i went to there table for a while and of coarse i had a coke but Wow all of a sudden i got back to my old way of thinking and i wanted a drink to have fun like they were. But thank God my higher power was there with me because i got up and said i had to go home and have a shower and i would be back. While in the shower i thought to myself if i could only go and have a couple of drinks.YAH RIGHT tried thaat before again and again and it didnt work.Comming on 20 months of be sober and i dont want to wreck it and the guilt after words would be hard to deal with.I learned a hard lesson tonite stay the **** out of bars asking for trouble. Thanks for letting me share....

If you noticed, all those so called friends are still right where you left them. There not going anywhere's. You on the other hand, made a good decision and by that Power greater than you, you were given another reprieve to stay sober another day.

Temptation is soooo powerful. Im glad you practiced Willingness and Courage to know the difference and left when u did and didnt return.

A thumbs up for you. Good job.....JUST FOR TODAY. Pleasant dreams tonight.

Good for you for getting out of there and not falling back into the pit. It isn't worth it.

Hi Ya Dave, way to go... you faced the devil and walked away. Might be good to avoid that in future, but you WALKED AWAY. Congratulations.

Way to go on the 20 months sober... that's awesome.

Peace, Levi.

There an old AA saying, "There's a slip beneath every skirt."
