I was a combat medic in the Army from 97 to 01 and was deployed. I came back pretty messed up, and one of the most difficult things I encountered was the public. I went from being the social kid in high school to the guy who would lock himself up in his house. My wife begged me to leave. It wasn't until I started dealing with my emotions and feelings from past trauma and the help of my service dog that I could leave my house and feel safe again. Have you looked into getting a therapy dog for your anxiety? That might be an option to help.
