So I am an alcoholic and lean towards narcotics. It was way outta my control in my twenties. Went to rehabs, coucelors, AA, and more. However, I had a few kids and had no relapses for years. I am educated and have enough experience to know that my addict beast was just hiding out somewhere. I started drinking again under the radar and acquired another habit that I thought i could control, but can't. AA wasn't working for me as I have certain social anxiety problems with public speaking. I also live in Italy. So, right now alcohol isn't the prob, cause once you nail step 1 in AA then you've done the most work. I don't want to drink but then I do and I need some support. Where is a place that I can join like the class of March so I can keep track of sobriety and chat? Thanks.
