Oh and Honduras was not a conflict zone but it was supposed training for their military, but El Salvador was the area that Reagan was illegally supporting the Sandinista rebels and providing arms and equipment in violation of a direct congressional law.

Ollie North .. trading arms to Iran taking the money , all off the books and using it to fund the rebels down there .. also front airline companies for the CIA moving cocaine into the US as well .. all part of the history .. now forgotten by many.

Thanks Blacky, you filled in a lot of the gaps for me. Didn't know the bit about the CIA and arms trade to fund the rebels. Nor the bit about front airlines and cocaine for the same purpose. My God, too horrible. Liars, hypocrites.

I remember reading about "crack babies", and the derision that was landed on the mothers of these babies in the ghettos, when in fact the crack was fed in to suppress social upheaval, and used as a means of social control.

Be honest, took 10mgs of Valium from my usual 2mg, felt like like such an idiot. Won't happen tomorrow, and won't interfere with my reduction regime. Not worried about the Valium cause I know it'll be OK tomorrow. Alcohol's the one I can never touch. And won't. I know that this time.
