My brothers used but they did not steal. It's a fallacy to believe, as a lot do, that all injectable drug users are thieves. It really annoys me. Judgemental.

Cops came and poor old Mum hid fits (off her own bat) in her apron pocket to protect her sons. She has never taken an illicit drug in her life and doesn't drink, and she's not an alcoholic. Images of Mum getting dragged off for self-administration. Gimme a camera.

I did understand that it was your former husband who was violent. My use of that stupid club wielding emoticon was supposed to demonstrate you clouting your current partner if he didn't cease and desist his current wayward behaviour. It was only a weak joke. I hate violence of any kind.

I'm doing OK. Still struggling with finding some sort of meaning but try to keep the faith. Anxiety and depression still know my name. I just gotta know theirs and one day I will. I'll have 90 days soon.

Bat on over the fence into the crowd. Huge six. That's my hope at anyrate, even though I am a bit naive.

Best to all, steely.
What's that mean "hid fits off her own bat?" I'm not up on all the Australian terminology lol.

I agree in regards that all heroin addicts must be thieves. My hubs & I never stole a penny from anyone. I think that addicts that own their own homes w/furnishings, decor, wkly or monthly income and such don't need to steal. But, I also think that if we would have continued using for yrs, we would have lost everything and may have resorted to stealing eventually. I used nearly every drug known to man in my lifetime and heroin was the only 1 that I desperately needed to obtain every day, due to how quickly hellish withdrawal set in. Prescription drugs stay in your system longer, unlike heroin. Coke, meth, crack, pot and psychedelics are mentally addicting, but you don't feel like your going to die if you don't use the next day. The only thing I'm not sure about is alcohol because the most I've ever used was once or twice/wk on the wkends. But, I know people who drink daily get bad shakes & such. But, I don't know if they feel like they're dying, like heroin addicts do?
I think a lot of people's perception of a heroin addict is a homeless, living under a bridge thief. And, that's just not right. Addicts come from all walks of life.

(( Hugs )) hunny!

My 2 daughter's and I are having a girl's day out tomorrow. We're going to a salon and I'm getting a haircut and my daughter's are getting a pedicure. My son bought us all $50 gift certificate to this salon for Christmas. I've never been there before, so I called to see how much cuts cost...& they said $45-$55. I think that's expensive for just a cut. Winslow, how much does your salon charge?

Have a great wkend guys! (( Hugs )) & love!

Hi kzaug,
Just got back from the city and having a cup of tea. Thank goodness to be home was feeling a bit shaky, generalised tremor not from alcohol just angst. Walked past a pub but knew it was not an alternative so that was good.

"Off your own bat" means that she did it without anyone asking her, brothers ie. She held her own (cricket) bat and gave it a slog all on her own so that my brothers would not get into trouble with the police. She has never used an illicit drug including tobacco in her entire life, and then there was Dad the raging alcoholic. Good fisherman though. Sheeee!

Sorry if I have been raving about family lately. It's just that I don't think Mum is going to be around much longer and family have been on my mind.

I think that the illegality of drugs makes for crime. From what I've read more people don't just jump on the band wagon because they have been made legal. If alcohol were illegal bet crime would increase. Tell you what, I've felt like I was going to die following a binge. Hangover, Schmangover, I'm talking death.

My haircuts cost $25 El cheapo. I'm going for the Albert Einstein look and my friend reckons I've got it nailed. I've got a bit of a crush on Albert even though I know he's dead. His eyes look really kind. It's all relative. Oh well, she's got a crush on Rory Gallagher so why not he's dead too.

And now thank goodness I'm sober and can't be happier for the mercy. No matter what life dishes up now I know that drinking is not an alternative and to hold that card means everything, the alternative being nothing. Like zip. I got the Bird!

Everyone is really deadly here and I thank you so. Hope your day at the beauty salon turns out a beauty. And now I'll just go curl up and die.

Absolutely feel like I'm dying after a bender too, cannot wait to get my hands on alcohol, once drank a leftover beer from a party with, brace yourself, a cigarette butt in it!! That's why I'm so afraid of drinking, the pills are nothing compared to the hell alcohol gets me into, its like I totally lose sense of thought and the day after,my body is so shaky and hot it feels out of my control too,our haircuts are only $8 so you can imagine why I hate my job,we get the grossest people! Off to that hole in the wall now, hope everyone has a great Saturday😊

Hello folks ..

Looks like I posted the same vid twice, oops. I will see what bass one I meant later.

I am working on a house about to go on the market, so it is a little bit of everything.
Good thing I did not do the outside as the real estate agent has now said to change the color. I agree but this homeowner is trying to get by with the least amount of $$ spent .. meh .. he has a dark maroon dining room I said should be the off white .. but noooooo .. he said it was an ordeal getting it right when he had it done .. well um so .. it is not what a new home buyer wants to see, all neutral colors are the rule .. IMO .. I bet the agent weighs in on that as well ..

So my trucks power steering went out .. then later spewed fluid all over the homeowners driveway .. grrrrrrrrrrrr .. it was already leaking oil which I put a pan under .. but this was it .. no more for this pos .. not going to spend any more money on it ..

Good morning Sunday.

Winslow, yes the old cigarette in the beer repulso, it's a shame job I know, and a nice girl like me. How'd that happen?

What about scrounging the dregs the next morning shakily decanting into one can or bottle until the bottle shop opens? Now that's a real good look. Charming.

Thank goodness it's all over and I thank you all for your hand along the way, no kid. Very special.

Maroon ceiling blacky? The owner's lost $5000 already. Can't you do something with that 5 gals you mixed of off white? Slip in a bit of oil it'll make it spread better. Not maroon, no!

You have a nice day too Soberwolf and this time I am in the right game.

My best all....... and here comes Sunday.

Hey all,Astro,I think$14 dollars would bring in a better clientele for us,I'm about 4 blocks from the strip so we get some tourists, casino workers, seniors and those peeps I love but the tweakers, drunks(hypocrite), dirty people, crazy people, etc are what drive me bananas! The neighborhood has gone down in the 13 years I've worked there but its good money cuz we crank them out fast and good, feeling ok here, hope all are well, check in peeps😊

Ceiling is white .. walls no .. I got a qt. of the supposed color for 3 nail holes and a small crack. I put it on yesterday so I have not yet been back to look it over.

I got another F-150 for $800 and sold the other one for $500 .. sold in an hour .. yay .. went from a 1992 V7 and 1/2 ha ha .. to a 2004 V6 .. yes this one also has a leak .. one .. but does not smoke and has a working AC .. runs a little rough but nothing like the other piece of junk.

So we will see how it goes .. I am about to clean the bottom of the engine / trans area to see what I am working with.

Cold and rainy here .. wooo ..

Wishing everyone well !

Morning all,

Big day again with my sister and I discussing my brother's case with his doctors. It is very tiring but we are getting there. Thank goodness for my little sister who came to the fore for the next rally.

We don't use "tweakers" here Winslow. Are they the con artists and and thieves?
Nice types, I know. Thank goodness I didn't finish up a tweaker. I was the tweaked.

I can see James Packer lining up for a $14 cut after a night of losses with the rest of the high rollers. But when I think about it that would probably tarnish your reputation as best Quik Cuts in town.

"I'm goin' back to where I come from, where the Mockingbird is singing in the lilac bush.......I met a gal in Kansas City she took my $14 and I've never seen her since. I'm goin' back......" Pete Seeger, I think.

Good on you for big tips Astro I think a lot of us drunkards (read ex) are, for some reason. I once gave my keycard WITH THE PIN to an old homeless man and realised later that I didn't have my bus fare home. WTF! Even though I was drunk I can still see his eyes lighting up with dollar symbols spinning.

Good show with the truck blacky hope the engine is OK. I've heard of the transmission but don't know what it does, just heard my brothers talking. Hope that's OK too.

I thought that a maroon ceiling (if I got that right) would crush the room, but if the walls are maroon we are talking torture room when the walls slowly close in and you finish up mush.

Hey, I'm 90 days today, just remembered.

Everything is so much better sober and am learning on the job. Hope the same for us all.

It's started raining here too and must get ready for the day and make sure I eat breakfast as I have put on a couple of kgs. Yay, I'm Arnie. Tell me to shut up, I'm an idiot.

Have a good day too Soberwolf see you on the boardwalk.

Best to all. Sobriety rocks.

Hi gang,
Well done on 90 days Steely! I'm so proud of you! I think tweakers are drug addicts that are outta drugs & need them badly...thus tweak, but I could be wrong.

Now I know why my hair cut cost $50. The name of the place ended w/the word spa, lol. My girls and I had a terrific day together! I'll tell you guys more about it tomorrow. We also had my grandson overnight last night & today! My fam's awesome!

Blacky, sounds like a great score on that truck! Yayyyy!

Winslow, are you feeling better? I haven't heard of $8 cuts in yrs. I think it's time they raised their rates too.

Melki and Wolfie, how did your wkends go?

(( Hugs )) and love, my friends!

kzaug, tweaking would be like hanging out? Like, "hanging out badly"?

I know what you mean about the spa. Maybe Winslow can add spa to her shop's name and charge and additional $20. But most of the clients don't have any money so that's not such a good idea and Winslow reckons she earns good money. Hey, Winslow?

Glad you had a good day with your daughters. Girlie stuff like that can be good sometimes.

I am still waiting on that book.

You out there melki?
