Im drinking hot lemon water every morning, after lunch, and in the evening an hour before bedtime.....it stabilizes my blood sugar, and keeps my potassium levels in good shape....

I found out whenever my potassium is low, I experience a lot of symptoms relating to anxiety, among other disorders like sugar cravings.

This has also helped me drop a few pounds in the process.

I've grown fond of my new routine.....Waking up is a pleasure, feeling rested or somewhat still sleepy. That's ok, because I'll slowly wake up looking forward to a new day......

Its a far cry from the cruddy feelings I had after a night of beer bingeing and NOT looking forward to even getting out of bed.....Not that I got any sleep to begin with....

My absolute favorite cure for depression and anxiety. Sunlight and fresh air. Soak it up as much as possible.

That's great Intro! I love watching your progression from scared, apprehensive & anxious to loving the new life you have made for yourself. And it just gets better and better!

(( Hugs ))

So check this out.....

For three nights in a row Ive had two cups of chamomile tea when things got rough.....Calmed me down and helped me sleep....So the fourth night I didn't have any but my anxiety came back....I muttled thru without the tea for a couple nights and guess what?.....The anxiety went away.....sort of like a brief withdrawal....

This happened a couple times now.....

Really makes ya think about food/drink we put in our bodies. I've been reading up on GMO's this past yr. & really think they are connected to disease.
I've never had low potassium, but I eat a lot of bananas.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

I realized that possibility Winslow......

Lemon water is a great detoxifier.....it will drain not only the toxic, but the essential nutrients as well...

Life is such a delicate balance.....When I was drinking.....my nutritional values were likely all screwed up......All my essential vitamins and minerals were likely deficient, however there were no symptoms at all and I was able to function like a strong, able bodied individual ....

But getting healthy and eating right is a constant battle to keep my nutrients intact because the slightest imbalance will put me into a tailspin of symptoms!

Geez!

Hi Intro, is there some type of activity you could do when you get down n out...Like reading, bowling, bingo, going to the gym, pottery or art class ( during the week. )

I've been quite anxious today too. I've accepted that I may just be the anxious type and that I'll live w/that. But, my anxious days are now few & far between. The 3 things I find that help me most are eating well, exercise and keeping busy.

Agreed on all of this. Over the weekend I did some touch up painting on the house, helped a friend move, disassembled a big table I'm refinishing, went to a picnic, attended a marriage class, and took a bicycle ride. It's nice to be still and meditate, but sometimes it turns into complacency and that can be my enemy.
