Power of Now
I found The Power of Now rather abstract, and a difficult read. A New Earth is much more readable, in my opinion. Good choice. Really great concepts and has probably been the most insightful book I've ever read. If you really grasp the concepts and realize how much the ego and obsessive thinking drives most of our behaviors, it could change your life. I also found Awareness, by Anthony De Mello very helpful, in the same vein.

Good stuff.
My first therapist was way into him. I ghink i read A new earth first - there both really powerful books.
one of my all time fave book is a toltec one. The four agreements.
It is a very simply written and has helped me immensely.

I too am currently revisiting 'A New Earth', and thank you to the above poster I just ordered 'Awareness'. I always thought AA's stance of 'one day at a time' was weak until I related it to Tolle's the power of now perspective.
I've been listening to A new earth in my car on cd. At first it was really hard to concentrate with my anxiety at an all time high but slowly I'd find myself listening to certain parts. I'd listen too a cd over and over again until I thought I got it. Now I'm on my last cd and I took it out a little early just because I kind of needed to listen to music again but I think I'll put it back in pretty soon. I also just came across some Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra I haven't listened to yet, am looking forward to those.
