Is this "normal"??

I feel anxiety all the time. Most of it stems from worrying over my daughter. I get so upset, I can't do anything. I can't stop thinking of her problems, I can't do anything to help her, and I feel like I can completely freak out over it. I'm not sure if this is normal parent worry, or something else. I take wellbutrin and cymbalta for depression. I have xanax for when it gets really bad, but how do I figure out if I have an anxiety disorder? I literally sit all day and night with my shoulders around my ears and my toes clenched. I don't even realize it, my husband points it out. I don't know if maybe I'm having panic attacks and not recognizing it. Any thoughts?

My problems arose when my son turned 16...extremely stressful. I suggest a talk with your doctor.

Yes, when my daughter started to go downhill is when I started drinking every night....

I think you should try to talk to someone about it. If not just to get it out and stop holding it in. Maybe after talking to someone about it you can get it in control and learn to only worry about what you need to be worrying about.

i believe excessive worry for over 6 months is GAD (generalized anxiety disorder)
talk to your doctor
