Best antidepressant for MDMA abuse?

I took MDMA and apparently it causes serious damage to the serotonin system that may be permanent.

Does anyone know the best antidepressant for people that used to do X?

We cannot give medical advice. You should see your doctor to find out what you should or should not do.

Sorry, can't give any medical advice! Can't even tell ya to see a "medical professional."

Good luck, God is with you.

Not sure if this is medical advice. But how do YOU know if YOU have brain damage? Did you have a scan? Or are you looking this information up online? If you feel that something is broken you need to make sure it is broken before you fix it no?... Also from my experience you should speak to someone also for the fact that the anxiety and depression you are feeling now could be what you were covering up while taking the drugs. Though I don't know all the details.

bben, I hope the previous posts haven't pushed you away thinking you wouldn't get an answer. Obviously, we can't tell you what the best prescribed med will help with your situation BUT many people who take ecstasy take 5 HTP, it is a legal supplement, and it goes into creating more serotonin in your brain. People say this reduces the depression effect after rolling, and helps individuals bounce back after repeated use. I would suggest you look into 5 HTP yourself before making a decision, but it has very positive responses.

I'd talk to your doctor. Generally, it takes long time use of MDMA, and using a lot of it to cause serious damage. It doesn't sound like you did it often, so you are probably totally fine. Unless you are feeling depressed, I wouldn't mess up your brain with an anti-depressant. Talk to a doctor though, he will know best. :)
