Back from the wilderness holiday :-)
I've been away for five days up in the north of NZ and enjoying great weather for the season and some challenging and exciting activities, kayaking for one, lol.
I'm now on day 12 of my sobriety and I've also quit smoking cigarettes while I've been away - cold turkey as they say, with the help of a book called, 'Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking' - I would never have believed that it was as easy as it's proven to be, day 5 with no cigs and no nicotine alternatives. I decided to quit concurrently with the alcohol as they kinda go together for me.
Onwards and upwards as they say. And it's great to be back here :-)

Thanks Candy Scratch :-)
I gave up smoking and drinking at the same time over two years ago and then relapsed into both last November. I think it's because I know I can quit both that it's not too much to expect of myself.
I am feeling pretty good for sure, wish I could stop coughing though, lol.

Thanks Tonya (lovely name you have there :-)
I found that the cigs were the hardest to quit and that by quitting both it took my focus away from the alcohol and made that part easier.
Day 13 sober and day 6 no cigs now, wohoo for me :-)
