Hey folks,
I found this website today and what an encouragement and help it has already been!
Tomorrow is my day ONE! (why tomorrow? FRIDAY! I'm trying to get as far past the insommnia thing as possible so my work doesn't suffer)
Thanks so much for the honesty and details of your addictions. It has made me feel less alone in this ordeal.
I'm an 8 to 12 beer drinker daily for the past 5 years and am now suffering health probs from my habit (BP and high liver counts).
My wife is finally confronting me and all I can do is admit my problem and the damage I have caused to our family (most recent count 4 kids, ages 10 to 8 months).
I am strengthened by all the personal accounts I have read and am excited to begin this journey.
I know I'll be here tomorrow because nights without booze are always sleepless. I'll see you guys tomorrow!
