Thank you all. Debby is going to be OK. This will take some time. She had been depressed for years. There are alot of feelings she stuffed for years. She felt if I got better she'd get better. When she didn't we had some tuff times. There was some fighting and I used this for an excuse to go back to drinking. However, I'd been making some progress. She just feels responsible for everything wrong. The when she lost her job, and didn't get hired for one she applied for, it pushed her over the edge. I've been there for her and have met a few times for family meetings. I have many difficult decisions to make. I can't keep our apt. with just my pay, so I need to move. I've also had to find a family friend to take our dog Mackenzie. It's killing me but, I can't take care of her on my own. With work and visiting Debby, she spends much time alone. Also, I might have to just take a room for now and get back on my feet. She won't be relesed soon, and when she is, she might need a safe place. First of all, we will be staying with each other. She's always been there for me and it's my turn now. My daughter has agreed to let her stay with her. Also, another family member has offered a place for her. This way I can save up money for when we are able to get a small apartment. This might sound terrible to some but, her needs are at the top right now.
I have to say that my daughter, who in past was no help, has stepped up and been a blessing. We are working together to plan for Debby's and my recovery. I told Wendy, these plans are difficult to make but, better than planning a funeral. Anyway, I didn't drink today and because of your love I feel a little hope returning. Don W

Don,
Sounds as though you are opening a new chapter in your life. I'm glad Debby is doing ok. I'm glad you are sober today. I think it's fantastic that everything seems to be working out alright, may not be exactly how you want it; but God always provides for our needs.

This too shall pass, my prayers are with both of you.
Love,
Jen

Thanks Jen. I'm so lucky to have another chance. Many like Trish don't. However, I must stop throwing them away. I'm at work now and decided to hook back up here also. Don W
