Hi Jon - I just read with great interest your info regarding vitamin and mineral depletion in alcoholics. Do you know if the same applies to drug use, particlarly cocaine/crack use?

Just to clarify, the information was found on a respected medical board.
And yes, we addcits don't do a very good job with basics like eating (or even drinking water), and our bodies are in terrible shape when we get here. Vitamin therapy would be helpful to any alcoholic or addict in addition to some program of recovery. Checking with a doc is recommended as well, because we usually have no idea of the extent of the damage. it's always a shame when someone finally decides to get sober, and three weeks later, while sober, dies from a complication that had gone unchecked.
