Hi everyone, I am Lizz. I am new to AA and had my last drink last night. I went to a meeting this afternoon and feel much better. It is amazing how just going to a meeting helps. They say to keep it simple, pray, go to meetings, and don't drink. I tend to over complicate everything, so I am going to listen to the people in that meeting. One of them has been sober 28 years!!!!! Anyway, I am feeling really guilty about picking up last night. I am glad I found this site. I look forward to meeting you all. Take care.

Yeah - Great job!!!!

Let go of the guilt and do what you did today. Listen, open your ears and listen!

I remember walking into my first meeting, actually the first time I tried I sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes and then went home, but I tried again!!!

Welcome and we look forward to hearing more from you!!!

Hey there

Im working on Day 5 right now. Havent been to a meeting yet, but so far so good. I knwo that feeling of having been trying to quit something and then given in and the guilt that you feel the next day. Me, my hangovers are mostly so bad becuse of all the guilt that I feel. I joke and would tell people that when I was hungover I felt "vulnerable", but I really did. It would take me a full 24 hrs. to recover from my guilt at least, and then even more if there had been some sort of fight at home because of it, or another blackout, or woke up and found 50$ now gone from my wallet that was spent on that terrible hangover and guilt. If you ever wanna chat, let me know.
