By the way, I don't drink alcohol or use other drugs (never had a problem in those areas, by the grace of HP. Now my family, on the other hand... ), but I'd never classify myself as "normal".
I certainly have my emotional ups and downs which may be chemical in nature or sometimes situational. No matter the cause, I work my program of recovery just the same.
For me, Al-Anon has been, and continues to be, my antidepressant-of-choice.
