Stopping Tommorrow
Hi guys - just a quick question.
Been heavy drinker for years now. At my worst 3 bottles vodka per day, at my best at least ten beers. Am currently at the ten beers stage - still get up in morning and go to work and don't drink through day. I've been dettoxed several times and have experienced full blown DT's. Believe me when I say i don't want to go there again.
Quite honestly I don't really enjoy it any more. As the old saying goes, I'm feeling sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
I know the withdrawals will be easy - nothing worse than restlessness and sleeplessness.
My choice is, 1. Deal with it and sit up most of the night and have to go to work the next day feeling like s**t, or, 2. Dose up on diazepam for the first 2 or 3 nights so I can sleep. (I have enough experience of diaz, librium etc to know how much I can take without danger of O/D or addiction).
What would you do? It's midsummer, the sun is shining and I just don't wanna sit in doors any more staring at a can of beer.
Best wishes to all of you trying to beat this filth...
