meeting #2
I went to an AA meeting lastnight and I am getting ready to go to another one this morning. It feels good to get back to where I belong and experience that "I'm thankful I'm sober" feeling again. I didn't have any intentions last night of going to a meeting, but a friend called and asked for a ride to one. I guess God was working through him to me, because I went with him instead of just dropping him off. And to day we are going again. So, to day I am thankful for God and the program. It has given me a hopeful out look on my life once again. I am only 3 days sober, but that is truly a miricle. I have been drinking everyday for a couple of years now.
As I have heard in the past, "I need to make the right decisions even while I am still hurting". Well, lastnight I was hurting because I wanted a drink, but I made a right decision to go to a meeting instead.
Thanks for being here for me Group

Hey hey heyhaze, Glad to hear you are taking positive steps! The "I'm thankful I'm sober feeling" is one of shortest and best ways I've heard to describe the feeling I have after a meeting. Thanks for that.
