Not a doctor here, but I think if you haven't had a drink in nearly 2 days and you're not suffering horrible withdrawl already, you're probably ok.

Congrats on your decision to get sober and welcome to SR.

I think your going to be fine. I drank like you and didn't experience physical withdrawal. Sleeplessness, and anxiety, emotional rollercoaster rides, yes! Good for you hang in there!

Good for you! congrats on your sober time and hope to see you back soon! I had a little emotional roller coaster ride for a little while and trouble sleeping but I gotta tell you it's so worth it to not be a slave to the bottle anymore!!

Okietiger,
Welcome to SR and well done on two days sober. I'm not a doctor either but I also think that if you are OK now you have no fears of cold turkey effects. Sleep can be disrupted for some, though for me I have never slept better, I think it is the emotions that present the most problems. You need to prepare yourself for a bit of a roller-coaster ride but in my experience the longer you are sober the easier it gets.
Good luck
Michael

you're going to be fine, suggest you find an AA meeting pronto. Just stay sober today, if today sucks you can always drink tomorrow. Then when tomorrow comes, say - I have to stay sober for today, I can always drink tomorrow....

GET IT? Just don't drink - for TODAY! Hang tough.
