ditto to what 2daysmuze said

The term alcoholic fits me like a glove. I denied it, fought it, resented it and hid it for a long time, but now I just accept that it is what I am. It was a great relief for me to just admit it and get on with doing something about it...finally. Only you can determine whether or not you are an alcoholic, and frankly, it doesn't really matter whether you are or aren't, but I would encourage you to be true to yourself - good luck!!!

Double dittos. The debates about who is an alcoholic, who is an alcohol abuser, the good points about program A, the bad points about program B are all interesting and useful and fun but not a substitute for actually doing something about our problem.

If I stand at the door, looking outside and endlessly debating whether it is really raining hard enough to need an umbrella, at the end of the day I will still be on inside looking out. The weather will change of its own accord, but my using will continue until I decide to do something about it and walk out the door into the world of recovery.

One Love, One Heart, Jah Bless,
Tony
