Which one is it? Is it you can't sleep or is it that you have no desire for intimacy with your wife? Or both?
Do you have a desire intimacy with any other women? Are you really sleepy during the day? If you answered No, and Yes in that order. Even somewhat.. go get your hormone levels checked. Get a complete profile done on your testosterone levels and SHBG, estorgen, progesterone, etc. You may have a real medical problem that can be cured with hormone therapy.

You might want to post this on the men's forum as well? You might feel more comfortable? Is it only your wife is or it intimacy in GENERAL? Are you working a program of recovery (like AA for example?) or are you just 'abstaining' from alcohol.
My advice : talk to your wife, and say I feel like X what you think it is...how do YOU feel..maybe she feels precisely the same and you both might agree it's ok for now...

Im your polar opposite. After I severly curtailed my drinking back in February, my labido exploded......and is still going like the energizer bunny....so much so that I now wonder if I traded alcohol addiction for sex addiction. I lust for nealry every woman I see, masturbate all the time, watch porn, have sex with my wife as much as she will allow....etc....I guess at least this is a healthier addiction (or less unhealthy) than alcohol. Go figure?
