I'm having a delimma right now. My job consists of a lot of travel and being away from home for long periods of time. My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to Portland so I can attend ITT Tech. Right now I'm on vaction for two weeks before I go back out on the road so my girlfriend thinks I should find a job here until we move. The only thing with this is that I don't think that we'll be able to afford the move with the pay that I would recieve here. I think I should go back out since it's only going to be until May before I come back and start our move. I wish that I could afford to stay here and work for the next few months but a decent job around here will pay less in two weeks than what I make in a week at my current job. This is been bothering me to the point that sometimes I just want to go down to the bar and get drunk and deal with it in a haze. I know that I wouldn't do that and it would be the poorest choice I've had mad in over a year. Could I please get some opinions here???? Thanks in advance.

Don't drink and make a decision.

Sometimes perfect decisions aren't available. Each choice has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Weigh them up, on paper often helps, and make an imperfect choice.

In each move I have done there have been unexpected expenxes not budgeted for. The more you save the less of a crisis.

I am with Andy..writing down the pros and cons will make your decision more clear.

Well,no matter waht you decide,as long as you stay away from that first drink im sure everything will work out just fine.Worrying and obsessing over it wont do any good.ITT Tech is a great school.Good luck.I live in the Portland area myself.Who knows maybe I will see you at a meeting someday.
